My mom ran with me when she was pregnant with me and so I must've caught the bug! I've been running with Racecats for a couple years now and I really like it. I'm getting pretty fast too. I need to work on consistent running, because I have big dreams, but kind of want to get there without working for it! (my mom might be typing this for me...and if I discovered she told everyone my name was Fartlek I might dis-own her!)

I'm in 3rd grade this year and training with Racecats Elite program. If you are in elementary or middle school, you should join us!

Mom encouraged me to run my 2 miles while Nathan and Jake did frisbee. I didn't think I wanted to and my stomach hurt. But I decided my goal of going to Junior Nationals was important and I needed to put in the work if I wanted the results. Mom can be so right sometimes! :P

8:32 and 8:20 AP for the miles.

Two miles at racecats with mom and two miles at Elite practice.

We did pacing practice at Summit and I worked hard on my Horse and Cheetah pace laps.

Did progressive run laps at Elite. Mom let me take her Garmin, so it was fun to see exactly how far I ran and how fast. Except sometimes I would forget to stop and start it...

Jordan school district meet for Racecats.

I did a warm-up lap and drills with the team and then did the race. I felt strong and my splits were: 4:54, 5:08, 5:18

That is an AP of 8:15/mile.

I lost my shoe on the final sprint into the finish and then was a little upset because my foot hurt from the little rocks on the path. Nothing stops the runner!

Ran the Blackridge trail with Herriman Racecats elite. Ran all the uphill with no problem near the front of the group. Mom chased me on the downhill and passed me at the finish, but I led the full mile+ downhill!

I liked it a lot and it was a nice and easy jog, but kind of fast. The last quarter, my mom beat me!

Mom drug me on a trail run. It was too long and I didn't like the shooting. But, we got an antler and I've never seen a real one before, so it was cool!
