Personal:

My mom ran with me when she was pregnant with me and so I must've caught the bug! I've been running with Racecats for a couple years now and I really like it. I'm getting pretty fast too. I need to work on consistent running, because I have big dreams, but kind of want to get there without working for it! (my mom might be typing this for me...and if I discovered she told everyone my name was Fartlek I might dis-own her!)

I'm in 3rd grade this year and training with Racecats Elite program. If you are in elementary or middle school, you should join us!

Adam ran the U5K, because I was working and he LOVES the U!! So he wanted the medal and the t-shirt. Plus, I figured it would be a good race practice for him.

He met Tom Slick and saw his friend Sharva there as well. He had a great time on the 5K (only 10 seconds or so from a PR) and it was a much more difficult course. Because his PR is at DesNews 5K. When I told him that at the finish he said "mom, it was mostly downhill! It was easy." ha! I know they ran from the social work building up to the Huntsman center and THAT is a tough hill! Plus it was a loop and they went to President's circle as well. But, I'm glad he thinks it was easy!

He then ran the kids 1K and it was as stacked as the 5K was...so with having 12-14 year olds to compete against both places, he came in 4-6 in the kids race. But, he loved the experience and actually won the BIG raffle prize! But, we didn't let him claim it. So he got a girls t-shirt that none of the girls in this family will fit into :P

I'm just glad he had a good time and enjoys running so much!

Outstanding run Mr. Adam? The U of U 5K is a really great run. I remember your Mom, the Great "RAD", introducing us at the starting line this day. Then a few minutes into the race you passed me like I was standing still on the side of the sidewalk and I didn't see you again till I got to the finish line. Hope you run this great U5k in 2019 so I get a chance to beat you to the finish line and restore my honor!!!!
